As a Support Worker at Seed of Light in our residential children’s home, your primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Offering emotional and social support to young people, helping them build meaningful relationships with peers and adults while encouraging community involvement.
- Participating in household duties alongside children and young people when appropriate, and planning, shopping, and preparing balanced, varied meals.
- Promoting the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of the young people in our care.
- Encouraging young individuals to explore and develop their personal interests.
- A willingness to learn; we provide comprehensive training for you to attain a Childcare Diploma.
- Experience in supporting vulnerable young people is preferred but not required.
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
